How long is a typical furniture tour?
Our tours typically last 4 to 5 hours. We usually start around 10:00 AM, with a flexible pick-up time depending on your location and preferences. The duration can vary based on your needs and how many stops we make along the way, but we aim to keep the tour relaxing and enjoyable, allowing plenty of time to explore each stop without feeling rushed.
What areas do you visit during the tour?
We focus primarily on Guadalajara, Tlaquepaque, and Tonalá, all of which are renowned for their unique furniture and artisanal goods. We generally start in the upscale Providencia or Americana neighborhoods, where you’ll explore high-end showrooms and designer stores. Depending on your interests, we may head to Tlaquepaque for artisanal lighting and decor, or Tonalá for custom pieces and handcrafted furniture from local artisans. Each tour is fully customized, so we’ll adapt the itinerary to meet your specific design preferences.
Is the tour suitable for both residential and commercial projects?
Absolutely! Whether you’re a homeowner looking to furnish your personal space or a designer sourcing pieces for a client, our tours are perfect for both residential and commercial projects. What is the cost of the tour?
Our pricing is based on the number of people in your group:
Up to 3 people: $7,000 MXN
4 to 6 people: $13,000 MXN
Up to 10 people: $20,700 MXN
These prices include a private driver for the duration of the tour, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience.
Do you provide transportation?
Yes! We provide a private driver who will pick you up from your hotel, Airbnb, or preferred location in Guadalajara. We handle all transportation throughout the tour so you can relax and focus on enjoying the experience. After the tour, we’ll drop you off at your original location or, if you’d prefer, at a local restaurant or cafe to recharge after a full day of inspiration.
What if I want to make custom furniture orders during the tour?
Great question! Many of the artisans and showrooms we visit specialize in custom pieces, and we can facilitate the entire process during the tour. Forrest will be there to help guide you through fabric selections, finishes, and design choices to ensure you get exactly what you’re envisioning. Keep in mind that lead times for custom orders can vary, so we’ll discuss those details with you on the tour.
Do I need to make my own travel arrangements to Guadalajara?
Yes, you’ll need to arrange your own travel to Guadalajara, but once you’re here, we take care of everything! From transportation during the tour to helping with logistics for any purchases or orders, we make the experience as seamless as possible. We’re also happy to recommend great accommodations in the Americana or Providencia areas, which are close to most of our tour stops.
What happens if I need more time to shop after the tour ends?
No problem! While our tours typically run from 10:00 AM to around 2:00-2:30 PM, you’re welcome to stay longer at any of the stops. If you’d like to continue shopping or exploring on your own, our driver can drop you off at your final stop, and you can easily Uber back to your hotel when you’re done.
Can I add extra stops to the tour?
Of course! Since our tours are completely customized, we can adapt the itinerary to fit your specific interests. Whether you want to add more stores, focus on a particular style, or visit specific artisans, just let us know in advance, and we’ll work it into the schedule.
