Steal This Look - Primary Suite in Berkeley, CA Designed by Julia Morgan and Reimagined by Geremia Design
We’ve been admiring this recent project designed by Geremia Design for the most amazing family. From the early stages of design, we knew this would be a stunning remodel of an original Julia Morgan house in the Berkeley hills.
I feel so lucky and fortunate to work on such special projects with incredible homeowners and designers. We usually only play a small part but just being able to experience these projects and spaces is significant. We fabricated window treatments, boxed cushions, and some custom upholstery like this banquette for the kitchen. As the design progressed, the family decided to add some light café style curtains in the bathroom–a late touch we LOVE, and also an easy upgrade to use in any home!

2-Fold Euro-pleated Blackout Draperies:
These were made with a stunning brushed cotton. I don’t have the exact information on the fabric, but it could be or is VERY similar to Casamance - Arizona Color - Bois de rose Item# 2521694. (to the trade) Please contact us for purchasing or sampling options. This really is a stunning, heavyweight brushed cotton in stunning colors.
2-Fold Euro-pleated Linen Sheers:
Casamance - Illusion 300 Color - Flax/Clycine. (to the trade) From the best I can tell, this fabric has been discontinued.
I almost pulled the trigger on Casamance - Arizona in either color Jaune or Vert for the draperies in my West Hollywood apartment but besides being wildly expensive. It was going to add months to the production time when I was purchasing these drapes. I’m not usually a person that is in a huge rush for myself, but I really needed to test the quality of several factory partners at the time. We have new 5.5oz lightweight In stock and special order linens in amazing colors. Special order linens add about a week to the production time. Our supplier has good stock at this time and is order additional stock of the most popular colors. Our Dusty Violet is very similar to the Bois de Rose and is special order. We have ordered stock of Wheatgrass which is very similar to Jaune and an amazing True Blue color. They should arrive and be ready for drapery production in our 6 available styles. You probably know I LOVE color. Wheatgrass is 100% going in my new Guadalajara apartment in Colonia Americana when I finally get to sign the contract later this week. Fingers-crossed.
