Our journey commences in Los Angeles, a city where the concept of the "power of proximity" truly shines. Here in the City of Angels, ties, dialogues, and creative energies thrive on the idea of closeness. I am looking forward to reconnecting with my apartment in West Hollywood, a mecca for creativity and innovation.
My aim here is to harness this power of proximity to cultivate significant relationships and collaborations with local interior designers and architects. Immersing myself in the city's vibrant atmosphere, I plan to expand our custom window treatment and furniture manufacturing business, thereby strengthening our presence in the heart of LA's design scene.
Dallas: Total Home Gift Market and New Projects (June 21st - 24th)
Next, I'll be visiting Dallas to attend the Dallas Total Home Gift Market. This event is a fantastic opportunity to meet some of the best designers in Dallas and witness the latest trends in the design market. I'm thrilled to share that I'll be commencing several new projects in my cherished South following the interactions and connections made at the event. This trip is certainly a significant stepping stone towards exploring and understanding the design potential in Dallas and the Southern United States more broadly.
Guadalajara: Expo Muebles and En Arte (August 16th - 20th)
I will be staying in my home city of Guadalajara, the artistic heart of Mexico, is next on the itinerary. I'll be attending the distinguished Expo Muebles, a premier platform for showcasing the latest trends in furniture design. As in previous years, we'll provide guided buying tours to homeowners and interior designers for a personalized experience. Concurrently, we'll release our biannual trend report for Fall 2025, offering insights into the design trends to look forward to.
While there, I'll also dive into 'En Arte,' an art fair that presents a fusion of contemporary and traditional art forms, uniting international and national artists in one vibrant melting pot.
Mexico City: Maria Becerra Concert and Anticipating Mexico Design Week (October)
The voyage continues to Mexico City in October. A highlight of this trip will surely be the Maria Becerra concert on the 12th; her dynamic music, a perfect fusion of art and expression, always ignites my creative inspiration.
Simultaneously, I eagerly await the confirmation of dates for Mexico Design Week. This annual event is an incubator for innovation, providing a host of workshops, exhibitions, and conferences.
Oaxaca de Juarez: Day of the Dead (October 30th - November 6th, 2023)
Finally, the grand tour concludes in Oaxaca de Juarez, where I'll be participating in the iconic Day of the Dead celebrations from October 30th to November 6th, 2023.
